Sometimes the word wait can come off as offensive or dispicable. The reality is that at some point and time in our lives we have to WAIT. Now before you throw rotten tomatoes at me, let's define the word. According to the dictionary wait means "stay where one is or delay action until a particular time or until something else happens." Another way to define the word is "remain in readiness for some purpose." Let's pause and let that marinate.
It is worth repeating "remain in readiness for some purpose". Instead of despising the season of waiting, look at it with purpose. You are pausing for a purpose. You are readying yourself for a purpose. God is not like us who sometimes wastes time or seasons. He is very intentional and strategic. If you are in a waiting season like me, there are a few things to do to make this time purposeful.
Stay connected to the one (God) who is in control
Focus and listen to what the purpose of the season is
Prepare for what will come after the wait
Be thankful and grateful for what God is doing and for what this season will produce
I love your perspective in your blog "The Season of Waiting"!
