Healthy hair in every season

Happy New Year and welcome to 2023. Last year ended different from what I envisioned, but God is good and faithful. We can plan and we should plan, but God has the final say. I am grateful that nothing takes him by surprise. As we plan for the new year, let's plan for healthy hair.

In most places it is cold outside and some of us don't think of protecting our tresses as we are outdoors. Well, Master's Touch is here to give you a few tips to keep those tresses healthy and moisturized.

Tip 1: When outside cover your hair with either a satin lined hat or wear a satin scarf or durag then cover with a hat.

Tip 2: If you wear a coat that has wool in it, place a scarf around the neck of the coat. (Friction of the wool material and your hair can cause breakage).

Tip 3: Make sure to treat your hair to deep conditioners or steam treatments. (Master's Touch Salon offers both services and we will be offering steam treatments at a discount for the months of January and February. You can schedule an appointment for a steam treatment or deep conditioner via Vagaro.com/masterstouchsalon

Tip 4: Protect the ends of your hair by choosing protective styles, such as braids, twists, faux locs, crochets, extensions. The key to protective styles is to make sure the styles are not too tight that could cause breakage. The styles should allow for oiling the scalp or moisturizing the hair. If the style causes damage to the hair, is that really a protective style?

We are here to help you with your hair care needs in every season.

Whatever season of life you are in, God is good and He is with you.
