Switching gears

God knows what you need and knows how to get you to his intended plan and purpose. Working in the beauty industry has been exciting, challenging and rewarding. Being a business owner is purposeful and a God given passion. Master's Touch has been in business for over 11 years and we have grown(but the best is yet to come).

This has been one of our most challenging years as for many small (only for a moment) businesses. MT closed for about 3 months but during that time God provided. In that time we birthed some new ideas and we experienced favor. Fast forward we open the doors in June and things are going well. Our clients are returning and we have even been blessed to serve new clients.

Fast forward one more time.... Things still going well then suddenly out of no where, I am awakened due to extreme pain in my arm. The pain is so severe I end up in the emergency room (I am a bit dramatic). Long story short, for about 4 weeks of not being able to work (due to lack of mobility of fine motor skills and pain), weeks of various medical tests the conclusion is..... Inflammation. The doctor doesn't know why it happened or how to treat it. Hmmm.... Interesting!!!

Conclusion and the choir sings God is trying to tell you something. It's time to slow down, use the help you have and get more. It's time to refocus on why you opened the business (resource to foster and adopt parents) and grow and manage the business. Well I'm listening. Although my arm is not 100% yet, I have been able to return to work. I have focused, excited, empowered and ready to build.

Regardless of what is happening in our land, God is still God and in control. He still answers prayers and is a provider. In the midst of a pandemic we are still growing and we are adding to our team. We just welcomed Leah Haliburton and we will be hiring another stylist soon. We started selling retail at the salon and will be having an online store soon. God is good and faithful.

Stay tuned, God is not done with us yet. I am glad that I had the pain in my arm. While it did not feel good, it was for my good. Master's Touch is growing, expanding and changing. We are more than hair, we are fulfilling purpose.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

Happy New Year and welcome to 2023. Last year ended different from what I envisioned, but God is good and faithful. We can plan and we should plan, but God has the final say. I am grateful that nothin
